The World Health Organization (WHO) listed Docandu within its recommended health apps. Docandu, as of today, has supported tens of thousands of users by offering top quality digital health & teleconsultation services, and it is the only Greek company included on the WHO (World Health Organization) list of recommended Global health apps.
It is worth noting that Docandu is the first Greek start-up company, where in the first “wave” of the pandemic, it developed and made available to the public free of charge, the Covid Checker app. Covid Checker is a mobile & web chatbot solution designed to identify coronavirus symptoms and associated risk, provide reliable guidance, & connect qualified patients with a doctor for further assistance. Covid Checker was first made available on March 29 of 2020, as a widget attached to governmental websites such as patt.gov.gr, while a few weeks later was released as an app in Google Playstore.
Furthermore, Covid Checker was distinguished and awarded in the Ministries of Health, Digital Governance and Development competition, GreeceVsVirus, to immediately implement and respond to the pandemic crisis.
How Covid Checker works
Users can correlate their symptoms to COVID19 and assess the risk of being infected by SARS Cov2 through a simple dynamic questionnaire. The app then provides personalized advice based on official governmental guidelines. Finally, users can connect to a doctor for further assistance via call back/online consultation.
An international recognition, especially from the World Health Organization, is a significant step ahead for Docandu and an excellent distinction for innovation in Greece! 😊
